The Forum committee has met and agreed by simple majority to close down the Forum, which requires a Special General Meeting (SGM) to do so, as outlined in the Forum constitution.
At the SGM there will be a discussion about the options and then a vote on whether to dissolve the Forum.
Background information:
In the absence of a parish council for Handbridge the Forum was formally set up to create a neighbourhood plan for Handbridge.
That objective has been completed – with the plan being made on 29 July by Cheshire West and Chester Council – following a referendum on the plan on 24 July – where 72% of those who voted said ‘yes’ to the plan.
Proposals for development in Handbridge must now safeguard and enhance our local heritage, nature, green spaces, design, commerce, transport, parking, key views, local landmarks and historical landscapes.
