Following the public consultation that ended on 30 June 2024 on the draft Handbridge Neighbourhood Plan, the Handbridge Neighbourhood Forum Committee has reviewed all comments from residents and organisations.
Based on that feedback the committee has decided to remove proposed policy 12 from the draft neighbourhood plan for the next stage of review. In summary, the proposed policy would have supported the appropriate redevelopment of land east of Queen’s Park High School, for a community housing scheme or the provision of a new medical centre, subject to various conditions, in the event that the owner decided to release it.
We have applied to Locality for grant funding to progress the next stages of review of the draft plan, including taking into account all responses to the public consultation.
We are aiming to hold the 2024 AGM in September, which will also be an opportunity for further updates and discussion on development of the draft Handbridge Neighbourhood Plan.
