Twenty people attended the 20 March forum/public meeting at St Mary’s Handbridge which was communicated by email to forum members and advertised online and via posters on notice boards across Handbridge. The forum committee members gave updates on planning policies in the draft Handbridge Neighbourhood Plan followed by a Q&A session, which focused on decision making for proposed policies for green spaces and a proposed policy for the appropriate redevelopment of the land east of Queen’s Park High School for a community housing scheme or the provision of a new medical centre.
We are finalising the draft Handbridge Neighbourhood plan and policies therein based on feedback from the 20 March meeting, landowners, CWaC and consultants and hope to launch a public consultation on the final draft very soon.
