In 2030, Handbridge will be a place where residents of all ages enjoy
an excellent quality of life with robust planning policies contributing
to that experience by:
- Protecting local green spaces, riverside landscapes and
heritage; - Encouraging businesses to thrive with an offer that serves
local residents, neighbouring areas and attracting visitors from
Chester’s city centre; and - Ensuring that new developments are sustainable and designed to
conserve and enhance the local character of Handbridge.
