8 February public meeting at St Mary’s Community Centre

Twenty eight people attended our first ‘in-person’ public meeting in over two years.

The results of our first household survey were presented and discussed. The top three choices were for neighbourhood plan policies on Green Spaces (71%), Community Facilities (53%) and Business & Shops (50%). The feedback from the survey and our public and forum meetings is already helping to shape the drafting of the neighbourhood plan.

Some of the issues that have been raised so far could be addressed with neighbourhood planning policies (for example extra protection for Green Spaces in Handbridge) whilst others could be addressed by community groups, residents associations and/or CWaC (for example working together to reduce the number of people parking inconsiderately or illegally in Handbridge).

There were presentations on possible neighbourhood planning policies for Green Spaces and for Design Codes.

Over 150 people have joined the Handbridge Neighbourhood Forum.
