Twelve members of the Handbridge Neighbourhood Forum joined our Zoom meeting to discuss the interim results of the household survey.
We have been successful in our neighbourhood planning application to Groundwork for a £4K grant to commission Cheshire Community Action to carry out a detailed postal household survey.
John Heselwood, Development Manager for Cheshire Community Action, presented an outline of possible next steps.
There was discussion about local green space protections, better facilities for young people, plans for a community post office and the possible relocation of the GP surgery.
On heritage, there was discussion about design codes and local character/architectural features that could be specified, and buildings that could be added to the local list of heritage buildings.
On transport it was suggested that bus, cycle and pedestrian routes could be included in policies that promote sustainable and integrated transport.
